• Career Development and Graduate Employability Centre (CDGEC), previously known as Career Development Centre (CDC), was established in August 2011.

• The CDGEC provides a comprehensive range of services, which include various programs and activities related to Graduate Employability (GE), Finishing School (FS) and School of Hard Knocks (SoHK).

• Regardless of their year of study or interest, the centre strives to be a reference source for students to learn about careers, internships and job access, and explore employment options upon completion of their studies.

• Utilizing career resources to equip students with valuable tools and knowledge, increasing their confidence in navigating the job market by encouraging them to join career development programs.

The CDGEC support the university's commitment to uncompromising quality in the education of its students. The career centre strives to inspire, educate, prepare and teach students how to develop education and career goals, decision making skills and job search strategies needed to manage their professional and academic pursuits.

Besides the above intentions, the Career Development and Graduate Employability Centre (CDGEC), Department of Student Affairs also strives to ensure that all programmes and activities conducted by CDGEC will enable students to:

• Acquire not only the graduate employability competency but also relevant core skills, qualities and attributes required within the profession (GSA).

• Develop their employability through learning, training and improved communication skills.

• Demonstrate characteristics that will enable them to compete for jobs both in the public and private sector.
