The UTLC Hands Over Responsibility For MY3S & Tracer Study
UUM ONLINE: The University Teaching and Learning Centre (UTLC) officially handed over the responsibility of managing MY3S (Malaysian Soft Skills Scale) and the Tracer Study to the Department of Student Affairs & Alumni (HEPA) at a hand-over ceremony held at the Chancellery Meeting Room, UUM, recently.
The ceremony was witnessed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdul Malek Abdul Karim, and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International Affairs), Prof. Dr. Hassan Ali.
The Director of the UTLC, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fauziah Abdul Rahim, said that it had been the UTLC that had, all this while, managed and dealt with surveys such as My3S and the Tracer Study, which evaluate students? soft skills attributes and measure graduate employability, respectively.
"The true purpose of the UTLC is to provide training for academic staff members. Thus, it would be more appropriate for us to hand over the responsibility of handling the MY3S and Tracer Study surveys to the Centre of Authority that is directly involved with students.
"This will allow the UTLC to focus greater attention on efforts centred on the improvement of the teaching and learning (T&L) experience and the management of data related to the T&L training of academic staff members and the use of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC)," she said.
